REAL-TIME DISPLAY OF CARBON DIOXIDE CONTENTS

AT LOCAL, NATIONAL, AND GLOBAL LEVELS

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Design and build a kiosk that displays, in large fonts, *(visible from a distance of 10 yards), the carbon dioxide contents (in units of parts per million) and the ambient temperature of the locale where the kiosk is installed. Additionally, the system will display the average carbon dioxide contents of the United States, and the globe. The system will update its national and global contents by communicating with appropriate websites, including those by the Energy Information Agency of the U.S. Department of Energy, Environmental Protection Agency, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, European Space Agency, and National Aeronautics and Space Administration. The system will update its carbon dioxide contents to the display once every 24 hours. The system should produce more than one data point on carbon dioxide content from different sources. Also, the system should wirelessly send the information to a website for display. The system will also house a built-in user interface which will be navigable via keyboard and mouse.
